WHAT TO BRING TO MY APPOINTMENT
WHAT IS VITA AND WHO DOES MY TAXES FOR ME?
Is the tax preparation REALLY FREE? Absolutely, the volunteers must be certified in ethics and also tax law prior to volunteering at the site. Generally, we do basic tax returns, we prepare, review, and then e-file the returns, both Federal and State. We also may be able to help with past year returns. We are not allowed to accept tips, gifts, etc.
DO YOU ACCEPT WALK-INS? No, we are no longer accepting walk-ins for same day work.
CAN I DROP OF MY TAXES? Yes, we will need you to complete an intake form, meet with a preparer, show proper id and we will scan in your documents. If we have done your taxes before, we may complete the process entirely online; otherwise you must come back to sign and pick up your completed return the next Saturday.
The tax preparation site is ONLY open on Saturdays from Feb 7-April 11, 2026. The other weekdays the site is a pre-school
