The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free tax help to people who generally make around $64,000 or less, including persons with disabilities, the elderly and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. IRS-certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to individuals and families. We can help with past unfiled tax returns (2022, 2021, 2020).
Self Help, Inc. services the Southeastern Massachusetts communities of Abington, Attleboro, Avon, Bridgewater, Brockton, Canton, Dedham, East Bridgewater, Easton, Foxboro, Franklin, Hanson, Holbrook, Mansfield, Middleboro, Needham, Norfolk, North Attleboro, Norton, Norwood, Plainville, Randolph, Raynham, Rockland, Sharon, Stoughton, Walpole, West Bridgewater, Westwood, Whitman, Wrentham. If there is no VITA site close to you, we will do our best to provide services.

- WE CANNOT TAKE IN ANY ADDITIONAL TAX RETURNS BY DROP-OFF.
- WE ARE NOT ABLE TO ACCEPT ANY ADDITIONAL TAX RETURNS UNLESS YOU HAVE AN APPOINTMENT. ALL APPOINTMENTS ARE FILLED.
- WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO RETURN PHONE CALLS AND EMAILS FROM TAXPAYERS WHO HAVE HAD THEIR RETURNS PREPARED AT THIS LOCATION IN 2024.
- WE DO NOT ANSWER TAX LAW QUESTIONS OVER THE PHONE OR BY EMAIL.
